Big Waves was awarded the prestigious Daniels Fund Grant in 2024! This incredible grant allows us to take our organization to the next level, ensuring more athletes in Colorado discover water polo and reap its rewards.
Big Ways We’re Supporting Water Polo in Colorado
We’ll be using the Daniels Fund Grant money to support water polo in Colorado in the following ways:
Provide Equipment: Invest in a scoring system and team equipment to enhance training and competition experiences for our water polo players in Colorado.
Grow Team Partnerships: Strengthen collaborations with local schools, recreational programs, and community organizations in the water polo community.
Expand Capacity: Increase access to training programs, tournaments, and outreach initiatives.
Promote the Water Polo in Colorado: Encourage more athletes to discover and engage with water polo, fostering a love of the sport within Colorado.

The Daniels Fund Grant is a BIG win for Big Waves, and we couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to support water polo in Colorado. Water polo was Bubba’s favorite sport. We believe that through it, our youth don’t just work out their bodies but their minds as well. Water polo helps them boost confidence, build a community and friendships, and build resilience to the waves that hit them throughout their lives.

The Daniels Fund Scholarship
The Daniels Scholarship Program also offers scholarships. Its mission is to help make college possible for motivated and ambitious students.
