If you haven’t given blood before, the process can be a bit mysterious and daunting. So, we’re here to help calm your nerves and provide a peek inside the process of giving blood.

Big Waves Inc. named Joshua Woren from Cherokee Trail High School a Vaughn Bigelow Jr. Scholarship winner in 2024. Josh’s resilience, discipline, and ability to balance the ebbs and flows of life, academics, and athletics made him stand out. We are thrilled to support him as he sets sail for an exciting future at MIT.

Congratulations, Vincent Mattei, on being a 2024 Vaughn Bigelow Jr. Scholarship recipient. Vincent is a 2024 Thomas Jefferson High School graduate in Denver, Colorado. An academic powerhouse in high school, he plans to jump right into college and start fulfilling his dream to create new drugs and technology to help thousands or even millions of people.

July 8th, 2024, is National Lock Your Gun Day, and what would’ve been Bubba’s 20th birthday. As we reflect on what this day means to us, we’d like to share the story behind National Lock Your Gun Day and how we’ve worked to create positive change in our communities so that no one else needs to join this club or stare at the urn of ashes on their living room shelf.

In December 2023, we partnered with Adams County Health Department on gun safety to help prevent gun fatalities in our Colorado communities.

Founded in 2019, the Vaughn Bigelow Big Waves Scholarship aims to create a ripple of positivity in the lives of young water polo athletes in Colorado. Submit your application today, as the deadline is April 30th, 2024.
